| ICT is the Namibian umbrella organisation for
ICT companies, computer professionals and computer users who
have an interest in Information Technology. Most countries have
a national association or society which aims
to promote the ethical and suitable use of computers in society,
to protect users from being exploited through lack of knowledge
and to defend the industry against abuse. As a relatively young
association, ICT is a learning organisation and continues to
add value to the industry
During the last couple of
years, ICT was merely an organisation of IT professionals
who came together on an annual basis to discuss matters of
Information Technology in Namibia.
With the ever increasing presence of
ICT in Namibia, more and more individuals are involved with
computers on a daily basis. Through its Code of Ethics and
its Constitution, ICT aims to promote professionalism in the
ICT industry and educate, support and protect all its stakeholders.
